Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of benchboss.life (the "Service"), provided by Bench Boss Hoops ("we," "us," "our"), operated by Melissa Albert. By creating an account, accessing, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Bench Boss is a basketball stat-tracking and player-profile tool for coaches, teams, and athletes. The Service includes roster management, live stat tracking, season summaries, shareable player cards, and optional paid Coach Pro features.

You must provide accurate information when creating an account. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. Notify us immediately at Benchbosshoops@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized use.

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for any unlawful purpose or in violation of applicable laws.
• Upload, post, or transmit content that is illegal, harmful, defamatory, or infringing.
• Attempt to probe, scan, test vulnerabilities, or breach the Service's security.
• Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service.
• Share account access in a way that abuses paid-plan limits or enables unauthorized access.
• Use automated scripts, bots, or scrapers to access the Service without permission.

You retain ownership of the rosters, player profiles, statistics, photos, and other content you enter. You grant us a limited, non-exclusive license to store, process, sync, and display that content solely to provide the Service to you. Coach Pro and other paid features are billed in advance on a monthly or annual basis. Payments are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited, our Merchant of Record. By subscribing, you agree that Paddle may handle payment processing, tax, invoicing, subscription management, refunds, and customer service inquiries related to payments.

Our order process is conducted by our online reseller Paddle.com. Paddle.com is the Merchant of Record for all our orders. Paddle provides all customer service inquiries and handles returns.

Subscription fees, billing frequency, and renewal terms are shown at checkout. We may change pricing with reasonable notice; your current billing period is honored at the rate you agreed to.

Bench Boss Hoops owns all rights, title, and interest in the Service, including its software, design, branding, documentation, and content (excluding Your Data). You may not copy, modify, distribute, or create derivative works of the Service without our written permission.

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available." We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely secure. Stats and game data are a convenience, not an official record. Always keep your own backup of anything critical.

You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. We may suspend or terminate your access if you materially breach these Terms, fail to pay amounts due, engage in fraud or abuse, or create a security risk.

To the fullest extent permitted by law, we disclaim all implied warranties, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.

To the maximum extent permitted by law, our aggregate liability for any claim related to the Service is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages, including lost profits or data, even if advised of the possibility. Nothing in these Terms limits liability for fraud, death, or personal injury where required by law.

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless Bench Boss Hoops and Melissa Albert from any claims, damages, or expenses arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms.

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of North Carolina, United States, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any dispute arising from these Terms will be resolved in the courts located in Wake County, North Carolina.

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated Terms with a new "Last Updated" date. Continued use of the Service after changes means you accept the updated Terms.
